for NGOs

​Fundraising is more than securing funds – it is about becoming findable, credible, and impactful in a crowded and fast-changing funding landscape. This hands-on training supports NGOs to strengthen their resource mobilisation practice and develop a clear, strategic, and actionable fundraising approach. Participants combine strategic thinking with practical tools to build sustainable donor relationships, diversify funding sources, and align fundraising with organisational impact. This course is designed for resource mobilizers, fundraiser’s, project or program managers, and everyone working for civil society organizations with an interest in resource mobilization and fundraising.

  • Understanding your fundraising context and donor landscape
    Analyse trends in civil society funding, map your donor landscape, and work with donor matrices and funnels to better understand opportunities, risks, and entry points for resource mobilisation.

  • Developing a strong and diversified funding mix
    Explore different funding types and fundraising strategies, assess your current funding mix, and identify realistic pathways to diversification aligned with your organisation’s mission and capacities.

  • Designing effective donor engagement and fundraising funnels
    Learn how to attract, engage, and retain donors through clear value propositions, structured fundraising funnels, and relationship-based approaches that move from first contact to long-term partnership.

  • Applying practical tools for fundraising and resource mobilisation
    Work with concrete tools such as donor mapping, storytelling, proposal development, digital tools, and CSA’s Impact Cards to generate, test, and prioritise fundraising strategies in a structured and creative way.

Project Cycle Management 
for NGOs

Many NGOs recognise the importance of effective project management in achieving sustainable social impact, yet struggle to translate plans into well-implemented and measurable results. Increasing complexity, donor requirements, and the need for adaptive management demand strong project cycle management skills. Effective online facilitation and presentation skills are essential for civil society organisations working across geographies, cultures, and time zones. This training equips social sector professionals with practical methods and digital tools to design and facilitate engaging, inclusive, and results-oriented online meetings, workshops, and trainings. Participants strengthen their confidence in leading virtual spaces, overcoming common barriers to digital engagement, and ensuring meaningful participation—whether in fully remote or hybrid settings

This course is designed for professionals from international and national non-profit and civil society organisations who regularly facilitate or contribute to online meetings, workshops, trainings, and collaborative processes across regions and teams.

What this training is about
  • Planning and designing virtual workshops and trainings:

Learn how to structure online sessions from objectives to agenda design, using tools such as Zoom and collaborative platforms like MIRO to support different learning styles and group sizes.

  • Facilitation standards and methods for virtual spaces:

Apply facilitation principles and interactive methods (e.g. breakouts, polls, visual facilitation, and group work) to create engaging, inclusive, and participatory online environments.

Rishi Meena

Rishi is a social impact strategy and development professional with 14+ years of experience in institution development and project management across livelihoods, climate, health, and nutrition. He specializes in building agile teams, fostering innovation, and driving collaborations. He has worked in strategy and program management at TRI, as Scaling Coordinator at Welthungerhilfe, and as an Executive at PRADAN. His expertise includes project management, organizational strategy, IT-based systems, and stakeholder engagement. At CSA International, he leverages design thinking, digital transformation, and social innovation to create impactful learning programs. Rishi holds a management degree from FMS Delhi and a B.Tech from MNNIT Allahabad.

TRANG NGUYEN

Trang Nguyen holds a degree in Social Sciences and has worked with governmental and non-governmental organisations in India, Vietnam, and Germany — including GIGA Hamburg, GIZ, and Welthungerhilfe. Since joining CSA in 2015, she has moved from marketing and communications into facilitation, mentoring, and coaching, with a focus on resource mobilisation, communication, innovation, and social entrepreneurship. In 2018, she co-developed CSA’s first fundraising and resource mobilisation curriculum, which has since reached hundreds of participants across Asia and Africa. Since 2019, Trang has played a key role in leading innovation processes and training workshops at CSA International. A creative and forward-thinking professional, she thrives on learning, sharing, and connecting.

In 2020, she became a professionally trained Life and Leadership Coach, further expanding her ability to support individuals and teams on their growth journeys.
