Thanks Louis, for the reflective questions. We worked on a persona of a women from rural India who "accepts life as it comes". She sacrifices her life, her well being for the family and considers that as a duty. She is malnourished not only because of the economic status of the family. Her family maybe considered in a better off situation compared to the poorest households in India. But she rarely gets the time and resources to care for herself. She conforms to the wishes of her family and never explores her life, her wishes. On the contrary the family takes it as usual and keep demanding more. It is important therefore to create a support system for such women beyond the boundaries of the family. The P4P offers a network of women in similar situation whom "Sobha" can relate to, share her life issues and maybe get inspired from an other women who had an answer to such situation. Just imagine a network with thousands of women where one women has problem that another women or a group of women can solve. The network also takes up major local issues, that are restricting their food and nutrition security and makes the local authorities more accountable by taking up appropriate campaigns.
