Is Civil Society Academy a funding organisation?
No, we do not fund organisations. What we do is providing inspiration and support to civil society actors, non-profit organisations (NGOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs) by designing and facilitating trainings and courses that enable them to become more effective and impactful, at the workplace as well as in their personal life. We also have professionally trained coaches in the team who can help you further develop your self and accelerate impact.
Do you provide scholarship?
At the moment, we do not provide scholarships. However, our course fees already include subsidies for the non-profit and are very affordable for small as well as medium-sized Civil Society Organisations.
I have to cancel my registration due to urgent reasons.
We have had some of these cases in the past and we do understand your situation. However, short noted cancellations always result to a loss on our side. This include costs for logistical arrangements and cancellation fees for venues etc. This is why we have decided to include this cancellation term to our services: In case you cancel 1 week prior to the training, you will be charged with 50 percent of the course/training fees you applied for.
How do I pay for my course?
At the moment, we only accept direct bank transfer to our Bank in Germany. Our bank details will be shared with you directly via email after the verification of the online registration.
How do I register for a training/course?
(1) You go to the Open Courses in the menu and chose the dropdown tab called All Open Courses. All upcoming courses that are still open for registration will be display there.
What is a comprehensive course?
A comprehensive course consists of two consecutive workshops, both together run from 10 to 13 days. Usually, there will be a break of 2.5 to 4 months between the two workshops during which participants will be preparing their assignments. At the same time, each participants will be mentored or coached by a facilitator over skype or zoom.
Does CSA only provide training?
No! Apart from our open trainings and tailor-made support to national as well as international Civil Society Organisations across the globe. If you are looking for tailormade workshops and coaching, please get in touch with us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is a focus training?
A focus training usually runs from 4 to 5 days, mainly on a specific topic related to Civil Society. It is designed to be practical, reflective, and inspiring. Unlike comprehensive courses, a focus training is much shorter and does not include mentoring or coaching.
